The OWU MA (Creative Arts) is a progressive, responsive programme that supports driven, independently-minded students to attend to their unique research interest and art-making practice.
Students will complete an intensive project
— in any theoretical, research or practice-focused modality
— in their field of specialisation.

Every student is appointed a supervisor to guide them through the process. Programme outcomes include a dissertation and, *depending on the study, a body of creative work.

Designed to provide students with a broad education in experimental interactive audio-visual communication, introducing a range of skills that will enable students to work in tomorrow’s demanding new media environment.

Emphasis is placed on innovative problem solving solutions using the integration of appropriate media as a means of delivering experimental interactive audio-visual communication to targeted audiences across traditional and new media channels. There is an emphasis on integrating theoretical and practical concerns to create.

This qualification is intended for cross-disciplinary new media filmmakers, animators and designers.
